The company, Afrinest Engineering Ltd, was registered in 2018 in Rwanda with the purpose of investing in the region through engineering services in marine, tourism and other related fields. This report relates to the marine & transport interests of the company. Upon identification of, and obtaining recognition in, the marine opportunities of Africa’s great lakes region, a decision was made to commit resources and invest in a maritime academy & marine support complex to develop skills and infrastructure to support and exploit growth in the inland water transport sector.
